LearnArena: an on-demand eLearning platform for students and tutors
ScalaCode built LearnArena, an on-demand eLearning platform that connects students with tutors. Students search for tutors by subject, compare profiles with qualifications, availability and rates, and book tutoring or group learning sessions.

LearnArena wanted an on-demand platform where students find the right tutor and learn on a path that suits them. The brief covered simpler registration for students and tutors, better search, and better management of profiles and learning resources.
Why matching students with tutors was hard
Slow matchmaking
Students and tutors had no efficient way to find each other.
Static tutor profiles
Tutors lacked a profile system they could keep up to date with their qualifications, availability and rates.
Little engagement data
The team had too few analytics to measure how students and tutors used the platform.
